A business can be busy and still feel stuck. More sales may help, but growth problems can also come from pricing, margins, weak follow-up, poor financial visibility, compliance gaps or an operating model that no longer fits the company.

1. Start With the Numbers

Review revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, debt obligations, taxes and cash flow. Determine whether the business has a sales problem, a margin problem, a cost problem or a combination.

2. Review the Customer Pipeline

Understand where leads originate, how quickly they receive follow-up, how many become customers and why prospects are lost.

3. Check Operations and Compliance

Unclear responsibilities, missing procedures and entity or tax compliance issues can consume time and create risk as the business grows.

4. Evaluate Funding Readiness

Capital can accelerate a sound model, but financing does not automatically fix weak economics. Determine what funding would accomplish and whether the business can support it.
